Installation at Lake Bdé Maka Ska

This adirondack chair was designed and hand painted by artist, Estefanía A.Z., to honor the state of Minnesota where she was raised.

The chair includes the shape of the land that comprises Minnesota, the states biggest musical icon, Prince Rogers Nelson, an abundance of sky-colored lakes, green trees and the beautiful loon, the state’s duck-a variety of things that make Minnesota great.

This interactive public art installation features 25 local artists, and is part of the Uptown Art Association and the City of Minneapolis. Lake visitors are able to enjoy the view of the lake, sun, sailboats, water activities, as well as food and drink, while sitting on the one of a kind chairs.
